undeveloped acres located on Nine Mile Road, west of the Community of
Pierson. The only habitat on this property is wet flatwoods. The
dominant tree within wet flatwoods is slash pine. The understory is
generally comprised of gallberry, various oaks, palmetto, fetterbrush,
wiregrass and numerous herbaceous species. This property is part of an
in-holding within the “Lake George Conservation Area”, which is
jointly owned by the County and the St. Johns River Water Management
District. This land is managed by the County for multiple uses. |
