This chart
includes all ECHO grant awards and direct county expenditures. The
annual $1M allotment to the Master Trails program approved June 3, 2004
distributed to the County of Volusia starting with 2005. Note: The 2002
NFP reduced by $8,244.85 02-14 did not use all funds. The 2003, 2004,
2005 & 2006 "NFP" amounts include four annual exceptional grant awards
of $600,000 for the News Journal Center. The 2004 "NFP" amount increased
by $90,720 the Pioneer Settlement for the Creative Arts rescinded their
grant. March 10, 2005, County Council re-directed these funds to the
2005 project awards. March 17, 2006, County Council awarded $186,139
from the General Fund and utilized $100,000 ECHO Reserve to support
awards. CANCELLED JAN 2007 - DSC project award 05-07, NFP totals reduced
by $600,000 in years 2005 and 2006. 2008 includes $208,048 of a 2007
Exceptional Award to DSC Southeast Museum of Photography and a 2008
Exceptional Award to the Ocean Center of $3 million (paid out in one
year - not three).
In 2008,
Grant 07-11 Dutton House ($478,900) was rescinded at grantees request.
On May 24, 2007, the County Council approved the "direct expenditure" of
two off-beach parking acquisition projects (Ormond Beach $727,242 and
Wilbur-by-the-Sea $158,134). On December 10, 2009, the County Council
approved "direct expenditure" of $425,100 to acquire Lilian Place by the
Heritage Preservation Trust.
